Caption : On 29th January, 2009 at 18:00 hrs the agreement for handing over MRPL school was signed at DPSS, New Delhi office by Shri T.V Sujit, Managing Trustee MRPL ET witnessed by Mrs Manjusha Bhatnagar,GM(HR) with DPSS Chairman Shri Ashok Chandra, Vice Chairman Shri S.L.Dhawan and witnessed by Secretary Shri R.Taneja.
From the new academic year the school will be known as DPS, Mangalore. On 21st February 2009, Shri P.S.Chandrashekhara took charge as Principal designate, DPS Mangalore . He carries with him 25years of teaching career at DPS and has more than three decades of experience as a physics teacher. He is credited with the "no-bags-home" initiative which was a thumping success and reduced the bookload that children lug back and forth on their frail frames. His detailed profile is given below.

Born on 25th August 1958 Shri. P.S.Chandrashekhara, completed his M.Sc. Ed., from Regional Institute of Education, Mysore in 1983. He began his career in teaching as a assistant teacher in Rotary Public School, Gurgaon from July 1983 to January 1984. He started his association with Delhi Public School, joining Delhi Public School, Damanjodi where he worked as a physics teacher
from February 1984 to November 1991. Worked at Delhi Public School, Haridwar from December 1991 to May 1993. He served Bala Bharati Public School, Pitampura, New Delhi as Headmaster from May 1993-94. In 1994, under his initiative Bala Bharati Public School, Vishakhapatnam started. In May 1996 joined Delhi Public School, Damanjodi as Principal. Shri P.S.Chandrashekhara has the credit of implementing the no bag home system, recommended by Prof Yashpal committee this was the most successful project taken up to reduce the text book and note book load on the children.
