Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL):

MRPL a subsidiary of ONGC Ltd., is located in a beautiful hilly terrain north of Mangalore city, strategically located on west coast of south India, close to Middle East & Far East crude and product markets. It is a State of Art Grassroot Refinery and has got a versatile design with high flexibility to process Crude oils of various API and with high degree of automation.

The design capacity of MRPL has been upgraded to process 15 million metric tonnes of crude per annum (MMTPA) including high sulphur and high acid crudes and is having Refinery Complexity of around 9.5. Currently many types of Petroleum and Petrochemical products viz. Naphtha, Jet Kero, HSD/ Gas Oil, FO, Reformate, VGO and Mixed Xylene are available for export. ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Limited (OMPL):

OMPL, a company promoted by ONGC Ltd. Has set up an aromatic complex along with MRPL at Mangalore, in Mangalore Special Economic Zone (MSEZ) adjacent to the existing MRPL refinery. The complex is designed to produce 0.9 MMTPA of Paraxylene and 0.3 MMTPA of Benzene and very soon these Petrochemical products would be available for export. ITD, MRPL, ONGC Group conducts its business only with entities (overseas) registered on its Mailing Lists on principal to principal basis. Interested counter-parties are requested to submit their request for registration in prescribed format.

The Application for registration shall be submitted in prescribed Registration Form on applicant company’s printed letter head, duly filled-in, signed, indicating date and place of submission and supported with all the requisite documents, as prescribed. For convenience of prospective counter-parties, guidelines to fill-up the Registration Form are also available separately.

The request for registration on Mailing Lists of ONGC shall be considered only upon receipt of details/ documents as prescribed inter-alia including Audited Annual Reports, Auditor’s Report, Bank & Trade References. However, it may kindly be noted that we at ONGC deal on principal to principal basis and not through any intermediary/ agent. It may also be noted that the decision of ONGC’s management shall be final and binding as regards to consideration of requests for registration.

Once registered, counter-party would be eligible to access transactions related to Import/ International Sale of Crude Oil and Import & Export of Petroleum Products and Export of Petrochemical Products of all Group Companies of ONGC, carried out through ITD, ONGC Group as per the interest shown by counter-party and accepted by ONGC.
